FAQ
Q: I live in the GTA, do you have a retail store I can visit?
A: We're looking forward to opening a physical location but we haven't found the right venue yet. Stay tuned to our socials for an announcement!
Q: I'm looking to sell some vinyl, do you buy?
A: We currently do not buy any vinyl from customers but that will change once we have our physical retail location.
Q: I love the fact that you offer product that's cleaned and flattened. I have a bunch of records that need some TLC, do you offer any restoration services.
A: That would be a bit prohibitive due to high shipping costs but once we have a physical location this will be one of our offerings.
Q: How do I know if the product i'm buying comes with liner notes or is colored vinyl.
A: All listings include images of the actual vinyl you'll be ordering. Any listings that include original inserts or colored discs will be reflected in those images.
Q: I noticed some of the items you sell have hole punches or cut corners on the sleeves. What's that all about?
A: Sometimes we get stock from Warehouses or estate sales that contain promo copies. These were given out by record companies to promote these releases, these distinctions have no bearing on the audio quality of the disc.
Q: I received some records from you that have a hazy discolouration on the discs. The edges are a bit rough too, what's up with that?
A: We take care in ultrasonically cleaning discs and wiping down labels before selling to our customers but some of our product from the Caribbean and Asia are known for sub-optimal pressing standards. We reflect this in our disc grading and would not sell anything that would damage your turntables. This isn't ideal but you are getting some very rare items!
Q: I work in Film/Television and was curious if you are open to staging some of our sets with vinyl records?
A: Absolutely! Reach out to us at info@vinylmuseum.ca. We'd be happy to help with your needs.
Q: I remember a Vinyl Museum in Toronto/Florida back in the day, are you the same store?
A: We have fond memories of that legendary store but we aren't affiliated with "Peter Dunn's Vinyl Museum".
