Featured Artists

Hailing from Toronto (Rexdale), Infinite emerged on the scene as one of the founding members of the legendary Canadian hip-hop group ‘Ghetto Concept'. His first solo release “Gotta Get Mine” was an instant success, earning him a Juno Award nomination and also contains an early feature on the hook by future Juno Award winning singer Divine Brown. The track is featured here on this exclusive 7” release which also contains his 1999 track “Take A Look” on the B-side.

Saukrates scored right out the gate in 1994 with the Juno Award nominated song “Still Caught Up”. As one of the members of Toronto collective ‘The Circle’ and supergroup ‘Big Black Lincoln’, Saukrates has scored many hits over a span of 30 years as an MC and producer, including high profile features alongside Common, Redman, Jully Black, Kardinal Offishall, Method Man and Pharoahe Monch.

Founded by producer Spencer Bellamy in the mid-90’s, the East Flatbush Project showcased MC’s from Brooklyn, NY. A Madman’s Dream featuring local MC Payday was the inaugural kick off to a series of iconic underground releases including the infamous track “Tried By 12”.

Before Roger Mooking (MC Mystic) went on to form mixed-genre group ‘Base Is Base’ or become a noted chef, he had his first brush with fame in the group ‘The Maximum Definitive’. Though the group consisting of ‘Click’ (David Cox) & ‘Darp Malone (Justin Ryan) didn’t produce much output, their first single ‘Jungle Man’ was nominated for a Juno Award in 1993 and the resulting music video earning them a MuchMusic video award. Presented here for the first time on vinyl, the 7” is backed by another Mooking and Ryan collaboration “Feel The Vibe”.

Consisting of DnD & Diamond Eyes, Toronto hip-hop group Brass Tacks launch track "Ice Breaker Classic" is a rare, long sought after 12”. Presented here for the first time as a 7”, faithfully recreated with the backing track ‘Hidden In Sight”.

Featuring NY rapper/actor F.T., the second single from Street Smart ‘Problemz’ produced by ‘Buckwild’ is presented here as a faithful recreation of the original 12” single from 96’. Backed by ‘Metal Thangz’ featuring legendary MC’s ‘O.C.’ and Pharoahe Monch (produced by DJ Ogee of D.I.T.C.)
